  6.    the restoration of the nation, Jehovah now gives in vision and symbol
  7.    the method of its accomplishment.  Verse 11 gives the clue.  The "bones"
  8.    are the whole house of Israel who shall then be living.  The "graves"
  9.    are the nations where they dwell.  The order of procedure is:
  10.    (1) the bringing of the people out
  11.  # Eze 37:12
  12.    (2) the bringing of them in (v. 12);
  13.    (3) their conversion (v. 13);
  14.    (4) the filling with the Spirit (v. 14).  The symbol follows.
  15.    The two sticks are  Judah and the ten tribes; united, they are one
  16.    nation (vs. 19-21).  Then follows (vs. 21-27) the plain declaration as
  17.    to Jehovah's purpose, and verse 28 implies that then Jehovah will
  18.    become known to the Gentiles in a  marked way.

  21.    and the two passages strongly indicate the time of full Gentile

  27.    That the primary reference is to the northern (European) powers, headed
  28.    up by Russia, all agree.  The whole passage should be read in connection
  29.    with

  31.    "gog" is the prince, "Magog," his land.  The reference to Meshech and
  32.    Tubal (Moscow and Tobolsk) is a clear mark of identification.  Russia
  33.    and the northern powers have been the latest persecutors of dispersed
  34.    Israel, and it is congruous both with divine justice and with the
  35.    covenants (e.g.

  38.    that destruction should fall at the climax of the last mad attempt to
  39.    exterminate the remnant of Israel in Jerusalem.  The whole prophecy
  40.    belongs to the yet future "day of Jehovah"
